Work has started on the section of CS4 through the Surrey Quays one-way system. A bidirectional track will be constructed from the existing track just SE of the tunnel roundabout to join up with the recently completed cycleway from Greenwich ending on EvelynSt just before Bestwood St. The new section will follow a direct route along lower Rd with a crossover at Redfriff Road. As shown in the photo, initial work involves removing the median railings on Lower Rd on the stretch from near the roundabout to Neptune St. The Traffic Order covers a period of 18 months from October, indicating completion by April 2024. Posted 19 Nov 2022.
