Healthy Ride Report. March 8th 2014

Great forecast brought out 17 riders for the Canada Water start.  This is the largest number since I took over co-ordinating these rides 3 years ago.

Werner leading, with David and myself (Bruce) assisting.  Werner took us on a beautifully crafted route.  First west to London Bridge, then a winding route through the City to St Katherines. Finally back over Tower Bridge and along the river to Canada Water.  Werner sent me the route from his GPS and some notes on Alleys:

“One or two places where the GPS lost the signal in a narrow lane and it sometimes is a few metres off but still intelligible:

Definitely terra incognita today: French Ordinary Court isn’t even known to Google Maps whereas OSM shows the street but without a name.
Interesting bit about the history of the location:

And St Michael’s Alley, another of today’s intrusions into the pedestrians’ territory:

A fascinating ride ending in warm spring sunshine.
