The photo shows the new crossing lights at the Dunton Rd/Willow Walk/Lynton Rd intersection. Photo taken on Healthy Ride on Nov 28th 2015. Crossing lights due to go live on Weds December 2nd. This is the first piece of serious infrastructure to be placed on a Quietway in London. The Q1 crossing of Tower Bridge Road is also being constructed. At last we are seeing real progress as part of the Quietway programme. Southwark Council officers had to fight hard to get signalisation of this junction agreed with TfL. The crossing will be a boon to the many cyclists who now use the Q1 route every day, and will also provide a valuable additional crossing point for pedestrians.

Today's #CriticalMass 30th 🎂 has ~1000+ people on it 🎉
Not possible without Des Kay's high court test case to prove 'normal protest rules' don't apply to regular spontaneous gatherings - shout-out Des & happy birthday Critical Mass! First pic @ChukkerV #LondonLovesCycling
Great to be with so many of campaigners from @southwarkcycle & @lewicyclists & @GreenwichCycle who have supported us throughout the delivery of Cycleway 4 - we were all a bit damp but it was a fantastic celebration ride.
Thanks to everyone (about 50) who turned out, got wet, and rode C4 to celebrate the opening of the final stretch around Surrey Quays. This is a gamechanger! @GreenwichCycle @lewicyclists @willnorman @mcash @lb_southwark @TfL
@MichaelSnasdell @lb_southwark @LewishamCouncil @Royal_Greenwich @TfL @GreenwichCycle @southwarkcycle @lewicyclists Yes the Surrey Quays station junction is critical, on a part of road that was totally impassable for cycling before. Any feedback to southwark@lcc.org.uk and we'll collate.
And do join on Sunday if you can to help cheer the council to keep going!
Great news! Thanks to @lb_southwark @LewishamCouncil @royalgreenwich @TfL Join our Celebration Ride on Sun 10th Mar, leaving Cutty Sark at 12.00
