Really nice job! This useful crossing that links the Peckham Canal Path to Burgess Park proper across busy Trafalgar Avenue has now received massive improvements. As you can see from the Streetview image there were tight railings. If you arrived at the same time as a push chair could be very awkward. Now the tight railings are gone, the crossing is widened, the path to it is widened, and it is all resurfaced. Looking forward to using this on Healthy Rides when we restart. Thanks to Jane Champion for the “after” photos.

Yes - road safety is (or should be) a crucial part of these schemes. Any reduction in traffic will reduce risk to vulnerable road users. #RoadSafety #VisionZero #TrafficReduction https://twitter.com/quickerbybike/status/1306510559328821250
A child is killed by a driver every week in the uk.
It's usually when they are walking to school.
This is the context for debates about #LowTrafficNeighbourhood
and #schoolstreets schemes.
This evening a car performed a dangerous fast manoeuvre to get through this gap #LTN
If I had been alone I would’ve walked across the road & not known that I was in danger as I can’t see the missing bollard.
These actions of vandalism put pedestrians like me at risk.
