This was a special ride devised and led by Werner Wiethege. Broadcasting by the BBC began on November 1922. This did not give us much time to do a commenarative ride in 2022. But fear not – we did it in 2023. This was the longest ride ever for the Southwark Healthy Rides. Those of you out on Easter Monday will surely remember the rain – on and on and very heavy at times. Six riders started, just 2 completed all 60km, Werner and our Group Co-ordinator and veteran of the Lands End to John O’Groats ride, Simon Saville.
