Rotherhithe is blessed with lots of off road paths beside docks, along the Thames, through parks and along canals. It is also completely flat. So ideal for an easy-paced, gentle ride. Route meanders across to Southwark Park then heads to the Salter Statues on the river. A 4km stretch along the Thames Path as far as Deptford Strand then inland to the Surrey Canal Linear Park and on to South Dock and Greenland Dock. Next an exploration of Russia Woodland ending at Stave Hill. Stop to climb the hill and take in the view. Back to Canada water via Surrey Water.
This is really interesting ride with lots to see and is a good ride for less experienced cyclists as so much is traffic free.
