London’s green spaces have always been valuable for cycling and this ride celebrates 5 of our local parks – Burgess, Ruskin, Brockwell, Dulwich and Peckham Rye. Indeed London is now the world’s first National Park City, a recognition of just how green it is and a challenge to keep it so.

We have done this ride several times, most recently in February (see Report). As then, we will ride anti-clockwise. Down the Canal Path to Burgess Park. Across the length of Burgess, exiting on Cycleway 17 (Quietway 7 as was). Up Camberwell Grove and through past Denmark Hill station to Ruskin Park.  Dog-leg around Ruskin to exit up at the south west corner and ride via Herne Hill station to Brockwell Park.  We did a lot of Brockwell recenty on rides, so just a short cut through it to Rosendale Road and round to Dulwich park, stopping briefly at Herne Hill Velodrome. At Dulwich Park pass the location for our first Saturday rides and continue via the Court Lane exit to Peckham Rye park.  Down through this last, fifth, park to Rye Lane and Peckham Square.  Route at http://goo.gl/maps/hFFNL

Easy ride, lots of path, no serious hills.  Come and enjoy a Healthy Ride!
