You must register on Eventbrite, https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/dulwich-to-brunel-tunnel-open-weekend-southwark-healthy-ride-tickets-157377258617. Please give a phone number when registering as it may be needed for Track and Trace. We post rides in several places and use Eventbrite for registration so that we can control the numbers. If you cannot make it, please cancel so that someone else can take the place. Even at the last minute it is worth cancelling.
The Brunel Tunnel Museum are having a Community Open Weekend (https://www.thebrunelmuseum.com/events/community-open-weekend/) with free entry on the 5th and 6th. Ride will start from Dulwich Park (Dulwich Clock Café in middle of park) at 10am. Ride will call at Peckham Square (by Peckham Library and Peckham Pulse Leisure centre) at 10.25. You can start from Peckham, but please indicate on the registration form that you are going to do this. Route will use mostly quiet streets and paths with some shortish busy stretches. Should arrive at the Tunnel about 11am. There will be a led ride back to Peckham and Dulwich at approx. 11.40, hopefully getting back to Dulwich about 12.30. People are welcome to stay longer at the tunnel, but will need to get themselves home.
We will keep everyone as safe as possible by observing all the Covid Regulations. Most importantly we will be maintaining routinely a 2m social distance, never less than 1m. Particularly important to maintain social distancing from other users on shared paths. Always give way to pedestrians and to other cyclists so all path users can maintain 1-2 m and feel safe. Just in case we need them, good idea to bring a face mask – needed for the cafe. Obviously please do not turn up to this event if you are displaying symptoms of Covid-19.
