Cutty Sark to Lesnes Abbey

NOTE. You must register on Eventbrite so we can limit numbers, link: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/cutty-sark-to-lesnes-abbey-bike-ride-tickets-2003981205732?aff=oddtdtcreator

Meet at Cutty Sark next to the Foot Tunnel entrance. Start at 10:00am and return to Cutty Sark at approximately 13:30pm.  Mike K. leading. Outwards mostly along the Thames Path passing the O2, the statues in North Greenwich and the Thames Barrier, eventually getting to Galleon’s Reach.  Galleon’s Reach  was the place where the Princess Alice sank, costing 900 live in September 1878. We will then join the Green Chain Path towards Thamesmead murals and stop for group photos before proceeding on to Lesnes Abbey ruins for a coffee break. We will return by the Ridgeway path to Woolwich and follow Cycleway14 (mostly Thames Path) back to Greenwich.

Riders of all ages are welcome on Healthy Rides but under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.  Same for “adults at risk”. Always give way to pedestrians and to other cyclists so all path users feel safe. If you cannot make a ride, please cancel so that someone else can take the place. This ride is part of a regular programme of Saturday rides, more information at https://southwarkcyclists.org.uk/healthy-rides/.
