Cutty Sark to Lesnes Abbey

Meet at Cutty Sark next to the Foot Tunnel entrance. Start at 10:00am and return to Cutty Sark at approximately 13:30pm.  Mike K. leading. Ouwards mostly along the Thames Path passing the O2, the Greek-inspired statues in North Greenwich and the Thames Barrier, eventually reaching Galleon’s Reach.  Galleon’s Reach holds historical significance as it was the place where the Princess Alice sank, costing 900 live in September of 1878. We will then join the Green Chain Path towards Thamesmead murals and stop for group photos before proceeding on to Lesnes Abbey ruins for a coffee break. We will return by the Ridgeway path to Woolwich and follow Cycleway14 (mostly Thames Path) back to Greenwich.
