Southwark Cyclists speedwatch volunteers will be on Croxted Road near the junction with the South Circular. They will be protected from the revenge of the motorist by PCSO Kevin Phillips. He’s not allowed to hold the speed gun (“war on the motorist”). A community volunteer is needed to do that but Kevin is allowed to write down the numbers and do the admin — tell TfL who to write rude letters to. And the presence of a man in uniform does tend to reduce the temperature of the occasional confrontation. To offer your assistance mail Kevin on kevin.j.phillips@met.pnn.police.uk.
