This is a picture of Kevin, the Met-man, who organises Community Speed Watch. Our Southwark Cyclist volunteer is there to provide living proof that the community doesn’t like speeding and Kevin symbolises the power of the state supporting us or something like that. The volunteer holds the speed gun and calls out the speeds and Kevin notes the make and colour of the offender. Drivers don’t like it much but no threats or truculence have been reported so far.
