Brief Notes on the short meeting on Dec 14th 2022 by Zoom (the second semi-final was in progress…)
- Borough junction (next to tube station), Nov 30th, latest collision, lorry and young cyclist, cyclist seriously injured (https://www.standard.co.uk/news/london/borough-station-cyclist-crash-accident-lorry-high-street-police-london-b1043742.html). Simon is pressing for changes to this notorious junction. 2017 consultation led to no improvements. Time for TfL to try again.
- Amy sent written reports. Community Road Watch is back in Southwark. Ever wanted to have fun with a speed camera and help generate warning notices to speeding motorists? Volunteers needed, e-mail Rebecca.Bilding2@met.police.uk.
- Southwark’s Sustainable Transport Strategy is out for consultation (https://consultations.southwark.gov.uk/environment-leisure/sustainable-transport-strategy-draft-consultation). It’s heart is in the right place despite the strategy being a bit woffly. Be good to have lots of people supporting the Council on this one.
