Feeder Ride from Peckham Rye Park Cafe departs 10am

This is Britain’s biggest bike festival and last year around 50,000 riders took part. This celebration of cycling, the event gives cyclists of all abilities the chance to ride through traffic-free streets in central London. The route will take in the Strand and Lincoln’s Inn Fields and returns to the Victoria Embankment, taking in a section of the newly opened East-West Cycle Superhighway (CS3).

The eight-mile circuit passes iconic London landmarks including Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, St Paul’s Cathedral and the Bank of England and again goes south of the river with a loop over Waterloo Bridge, offering stunning views of London. You can stop and start, take photos and experience the fun and freedom of riding without worrying about cars, lorries and buses. From Tower Bridge to Buckingham Palace, London’s greatest sights create an inspiring backdrop for a memorable day of cycling.

Southwark Cyclists will be leading an all-age ride up to join the London FreeCycle on July 30th. Our feeder ride departs from the cafe on Peckham Rye Common and there will be a ride back for those who want it at 3pm on the day. To take part just turn up.
