Lambeth have an ambitious scheme for Loughborough Junction out to consultation until Oct 22nd. Aim is to improve the area for residents, cyclists and pedestrians by reducing traffic – actually closing roads to motor traffic. Notably Loughborough Rd will no longer connect to Coldharbour Lane or Hinton Rd. LJ is only 600 m from Southwark and close to Camberwell and Denmark Hill. So have a look at what is proposed at http://www.lambeth.gov.uk/sites/default/files/LJ%20consultation%20visualisations.pdf and if you are moved to, respond to the consultation at http://www.lambeth.gov.uk/consultations/loughborough-junction-public-space-improvements.
