Nice example of inconsiderate, illegal parking. While we were having our Bike Week Breakfast at the Isalnd Cafe on Southwark Park Road (see post below), a large articulated truck stopped opposite on a double yellow on the Cycle Superhighway. This then became somewhat less of a superhighway as cyclists were forced out into the motor traffic lanes. This was a problem we highlighted in the run up to the local elections this year. And where was the driver – having breakfast in the Island Cafe!

I'm not at at all surprised that so many Londoners back Low Traffic Neighbourhoods.
They make our streets safer and more pleasant, and better for pedestrians and cyclists.
Southwark Cyclists is the leading organisation that promotes and supports cycling and cyclists in Southwark.
