Melbourne Grove was part of Southwark's 2015 Cycling Strategy. Great that Streetspace schemes are bringing forward some of this strategy like here and Rye Lane.
The full length of Melbourne Grove is now a much safer low traffic route enabling people to get around #EastDulwich without a car.

Here's a funny example of where, with comic brain-dead action, public works unthinkingly make life difficult for cyclists, because cycling is just seen as a frivolous optional extra. Why can't they just get off and walk? NB @southwarkcycle @willnorman

Utter garbage this on the new Cycleway 4. Could you imagine if they just blocked off a road to cars because temporary lights couldn't cope with the sequence? @TfL
And here also...some parking bays have been suspended on ED Grove. This could be a segregated cycle lane connecting Melbourne Grove to Glengarry/Hillsboro & beyond to QW7. 2It looks like there’s space for a safe segregated cycle lane here on East Dulwich Grove (a place where cars often speed and it can be scary to cycle).
