Long promised Toucan crossing finally delivered as part of Cycleway 4
At least 10 years ago we were promised a controlled crossing of Jamaica Road at the second exit from Southwark Park on Jamaica Road. I remember the late Barry Mason explaining when we crossed from that exit on a Healthy Ride that the Council and TfL had finally agreed that one was needed. Riding that way as the years passed have always remembered this. Now there it is, one of the many improvements for pedestrians and cyclists that are happening as part of the Cycleway 4 work.
