Ride 1. Parks and Commons

This ride was planned and led by Jean. 10am start in Dulwich Park under blue skies. Theme of the ride was trees. Began with a circuit of Dulwich Park followed by a visit to the gardens of the Dulwich Picture Gallery which has some unusual trees. Next to Brockwell Park and on to Clapham Common where the trees by the lake were looking extremely autumnal. Next on to Wandsworth Common. This has a lot of trees and also a [pleasant cafe where a break was taken sitting outside in the sunshine. On return stopped at the Brixton Mill, then back to Dulwich via Brockwell Park and the Rosendale Road cycleway.

Ride 2. Beckenham Place Park

We have ridden to Beckenham Palce Park from many different start locaitoins. This week it was from Peckham Square with a 10am start. Comments from ride leader Jamie on WhatsApp:

“11 riders took part in today’s ‘faster than usual’ ride to Crystal Palace Park via Beckenham Place Park. In addition we enjoyed riding our bikes across the new mountain bike course [at BPP]. Many thanks to Chau for marshalling, Nigel for backstopping and Malcolm for fixing Tony’s rear brakes.”
