Ride 1 Cutty Sark to Belmarsh Prison

Report from Ride Leader Mike K. : “We started off at the Cutty Sark in the cold and foggy morning with 15 of us, onto the Thames path we saw the Greek statues to the Thames barrier, then at Galleons reach, we cycled to the Tor to take in the view. Then onto Belmarsh prison for a brief photo stop, onto to Woolwich for coffee. From there onto the Thames path in bright sunshine we returned to the Cutty sark. “
Ride 2. Burgess Park to Bloomsbury Squares

5 riders, the weather was bright and chilly but warmed up as time (and we) progressed. We completed a leisurely tour of 14 squares (and a crescent) in Bloomsbury (and Holborn), stopping to hear a bit more about the histories and some notable residents (ancient & modern) in Red Lion, Queen, Fitzroy, and Bedford Squares. As it was a short ride, no coffee stop was planned but we’d made good time so decided to visit the café in Russell Square and enjoy some refreshment along with sunshine and crocuses. We parted company on the south side of Waterloo Bridge and headed off in different directions. Thanks to everyone for coming along and to Mike for being our back-marker.
