Ride 1. Wanstead Park

There were 15 riders. Here are some rough notes from Ride Leader Amanda
We picked up two the other side of it [the Thames crossing at the O2]. [Most were on the Cable Car]. One got the new bus across instead (came on an electric bike!) but just missed one, so we had to wait for her an extra 12 or so minutes. She had the intention of removing the battery pack on the cable car, I wouldn’t have thought this would be permitted as she would still be carrying the battery. However, I was a bit worried about the wait as we left a little later as some were late at the start – Out of 19 listed 4 were a no-show. We also had a puncture on the return by one of the new riders. I had a puncture repair kit but Mike K had the brilliant foam fill, which worked for about 30 mins. This saved us a lot of time with not fixing the puncture, but you still have to wait 10 mins for the liquid to harden… The couple left off to a nearby bike repair shop.
Ride 2. Artists Garden/Hyde Park

Report from Ride Leader Eva.
10 Riders set off from Canada Water Square towards central London on the C4, and we picked up one further rider at Tower Bridge, and another one at our first stop, the Artists’ Garden. It’s an open-air art gallery on the rooftop of Temple Station which has annually changing exhibitions of artworks created by female artists. We then continued the ride down the Mall towards Hyde Park, enjoyed the coffee break and a ride around the park. The way back was via a very crowded Westminster Bridge, with more and more riders taking shorter routes home instead of fighting a really heavy headwind. We arrived back at Canada Water Station at 12.30 pm.
