Ride 1. Eltham Surprises

Ride 2. Wandsworth Park

Eltham Surprises

Ride Leader – Eva. 13 Riders. Cutty Sark start.

Ride report from Leader Eva:

“12 riders set off from Cutty Sark to explore Eltham. Catching our breaths after a climb up of Greenwich Park we crossed the Heath and cycled through Sutcliffe Park to Well Hall Pleasaunce, from there to Eltham Palace – wondering whether our risk assessment had considered encountering a horse as we did shortly before the Palace. We took then a nice ride through a wooded area before entering Avery Hill Park. Since early 2024 the amazing Wintergarden is open again to the public. We had a good look around this gem (see photos). Some more cycling on suburban roads brought us to Oxleas Wood where we enjoyed a well deserved coffee break. Racing down Shooters Hill we soon found our way back to Blackheath and Greenwich Park. This was our route through Parks, a Pleasaunce, past a Palace and a Pavilion (winter garden) : https://www.komoot.com/tour/1572563743?ref=itd&share_token=ah2p1FthwxJyxYEgbPJ5nvuyK5Ry3YCuYDCnsAoI9VcJt2Gijw
