NOTE. Please register for rides on Eventbrite so we can limit numbers, link: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/the-guide-dog-statues-at-canary-wharf-tickets-878694447747
Start 9am (yes, really early, set the alarm clock), at London Bridge (Gateway Needle, SE corner, near station). Aim to be back by 11.30am -12 noon. Paws on the Wharf is one of those artistically painted identical statues outdoor trails. Details at https://www.guidedogs.org.uk/paws-on-the-wharf/, also BBC post. Dogs will be auctioned later in year, minimum bid £2000, proceeds to Guide Dogs charity. Route will use the north bank going slightly inland on the outward leg and using the Thameside route coming back. Places of interest include Shadwell Basin, Canary Wharf Elizabeth Line Station, North and South Docks, St Katherine’s Docks – and of course the dogs! 10 mile, flat ride with 80% off road on surfaced paths or segregated cycle lanes. Suitable for any type of cyclist, including beginners and families. Coffee stop, probably at Mercato Metropolitano, Wood Wharf. Do remember the early start. Bruce leading.
