The doctor doesn’t look like this, of course, and neither do his bike health care assistants. But pictures of cheerful and friendly looking young women improve everything. No cycle marking, sorry, we’re working on it.

The different looking doctor and bike nurses will be fixing brakes, indexing gears, pumping up tyres and offering wise advice. He carries a few (very cheap and very basic) spare parts and tells it how it is. His unmechanical assistants dispense goodwill, gossip and TfL maps.

If that sounds good look for him under Peckham Arch at the north end of Rye Lane/south end of Surrey Canal Path between 5.30-7.30pm. Open to all and all welcome. No charges, no enquiries into your habits or requests for donations. Free.
