Want to hold a speedgun and see just how fast drivers are going? You need Speedwatch, TfL-funded, police-led, volunteer-peopled campaign against speeding. The statistics gathered by CSW have encouraged the police to take speeding more seriously and run speed-traps of their own. Volunteers are always welcome. To join in, email organiser PCSO Kevin Phillips (see pic) at kevin.j.phillips@met.police.uk.. He’s an affable guy and very opposed to speeding. He’ll be pleased to hear from you.
