A Southwark Cyclist volunteer will be pointing a speed gun at hurriedly braking drivers on Salter Road. With her will be PCSO Kevin Phillips writing down number plates, make and colour of those who didn’t stamp on the brakes hard enough. Getting noted down for the first time gets you a letter from TfL pointing out the error of your ways. Three strikes gets you onto the police national database of badly behaved drivers and extra attention on the road. This can be an enjoyable and even exciting way of passing time.
