Southwark Cyclist volunteer, Werner, will be wielding the speed gun this evening on Southwark Bridge Road. He’s a dedicated speeder-catcher and currently tops the board for numbers of taxis caught in one session. Admittedly he hangs out in SE1 (principally) where the black cabs hang out too so he has an advantage on the rest of us. Top speed caught on speedgun so far (any vehicle- type eligible) is 66 mph. There aren’t any prizes and anyone can join in. Email PCSO Kevin Phillips (pictured) at kevin.j.phillips@met.police.uk and tell him you want to volunteer. He’ll encourage you.
