Organised by the Met, this is a partnership between the police and the community. Representing the police we have PCSO Kevin Phillips, new father and Welshman, loves his volunteers and hates speeders. Representing the community, a Southwark Cyclist volunteer holding the speed gun. Not just us I should explain: councillors, concerned residents and a cross-section of the law-abiding take a turn. To join in email Kevin at kevin.j.phillips@met.police.uk. He’s very flexible on dates and times and interested to review new locations. People who do it once tend to do it again so it can’t be bad.
