We did it again! In partnership with Lewisham Cyclists we organised 11 coaches and 3 trucks to get riders and their bikes back to London. Southwark Cyclists had booked the transport and sold the tickets and now had the job of getting riders and bikes loaded. From the crack of dawn on Sunday 26th July Hugh, Gareth and their team were busy at Dunwich Beach. As cyclists arrived from the 112 mile overnight ride from London Fields those with a booking could pick up their tickets, get their bikes on a truck and,at departure time, board the coach. Our team also kept traffic moving for everyone by marshalling the narrow approach roads. By lunch time over 500 riders and their bikes were gone.

Meanwhile, at the London end Lewisham Cyclists were meeting the coaches and trucks. Bikes were unloaded and re-united with owners. By the end of the afternoon it was all over. Special thanks to everyone who helped and to the Hamiltons Removals team who packed the bikes.
