V and A 400 ride. Victoria and Albert were both born in 1819, one in May, the other September.  Werner has a 16 mile route planned for an anniversary ride, the “V & A 400”.  Starting and finishing in Burgess Park (Park Life Cafe, Chumleigh Gdns, SE5 0RJ) and taking in the eponymous embankments, the V & A museum, Albertopolis in South Ken, and one of the many Queen Victoria statues. Will include a cafe stop.  Provisional route:

Albert Statue, Holborn, near Holborn Circus (passed many times never knowing it was Prince Albert on the horse)
Victoria Embankment
Victoria Statue, Buckingham Palace (and Christmas Tree)
Albert Memorial, Kensington Gardens
Albert Hall
Queen’s Tower, Imperial College
V&A Museum
Harrods? (just for any last minute Christmas shopping)
Victoria Station
Albert Embankment

About 16 miles and pretty much flat.
