FreeInterested in leading social group rides? Maybe helping with our Healthy Rides? Or doing rides for another organisation, or even just doing your own self-organised rides? It is useful to learn from others which is why we run free 1-day courses to instruct experienced riders about organising and conducting group rides.
Next course will be Sunday March 26th, 10am to 4pm, based at Dockhead Fire Station. You do not have to be a member of Southwark Cyclists to join the course. If interested email Bruce Lynn at cyclebuddies@southwarkcyclists.org.uk.
But before doing this think about the following:
- Am I experienced enough? For example, several years riding regularly in London (or equivalent city) .
- Am I really OK with being (partly) responsible for the safety of maybe 15 others?
- Do I have the time/energy to actually lead rides?
