Werner led his usual Boxing Day ride around the City. This year there were 16 riders starting from London Bridge. Here are a few comments from Werner:
“Nobody dropped out till after the Watermen, Jane and a few others continued along CS3 to Blackfriars instead of going up to the Monument and back to the Needle. Only the Fishmongers left then and they couldn’t miss. Back slightly late at 12:08. I blame the coffee mutineers who were difficult to pull out of the warm Starbucks back into the cold. It was noticeably cooler than the last few days but we didn’t get the awful headwind down Bishopsgate I had on route checks. Riders seemed happy and said they found it interesting. As expected, the Ironmongers’ Hall was the greatest surprise.”
