Feeder Ride to Southwark Cyclists Picnic
Very hot day! About 8 riders at Dulwich. With Bruce leading, rode down to Peckham Square where no-one was waiting. Meandered across mostly on Cycleway 10 to Cutty Sark. Surprisngly found 2 riders there (it was not an “official” meet point, but these riders had by chance arranged to meet up there). Along Thames path route found Peter at Sayers Park – another unofficial meet point. So by the time we were at Burgess Park we were about 14. Two riders departed due to the heat and the pollen (bad hay fever). The rest of us sought the shade and ate our sarnies while participating intermittently in a hghy pressured slow bike contest, eventualy won by Peter.
