A favourite short ride, this anti-clockwise loop follows the Thames on both banks. Lots of history and always something new to see. 10am to 12.30pm. Start/finish Deal Porter Square, opposite Canada Water Station, SE16 7AR. Easy 11 mile ride using DLR to cross river at Greenwich (travel pass or equivalent needed) and returning over London Bridge. Route includes Russia Woodland, Greenland Dock, Deptford Historic Waterfront, Narrow St (Wapping), Shadwell Basin, Canal-side paths to St Katherines, the Monument. Coffee stop on return leg (probably Bartons, Dockhead). No hills, mostly off road, cycle lanes or quiet streets. Simon K. leading. It will be possible to join the ride at Greenwich Station. Meet 10.25am outside the front of the station on Greenwich High Rd, near the Novotel (not by the DLR entrance). Please indicate on the registration form that you will be joining at Greenwich.
