Here is his description. “A short and leisurely ten-mile loop from London Bridge to London Wall\, and then to Victoria Embankment Gardens\, before returning along the river to Blackfriars Bridge\, and back to London Bridge. On the way we’ll cycle through several of the oldest and most interesting alleyways in the area\, as well as some remarkable remnants of buildings long gone. Lots of time for photo opportunities! Starting at 10am from London Bridge\, probable coffee stop around half way\, back before 1pm.”

Start/finish in Deal Porter Square\, Canada Water You can also join the ride at London Bridge; be at the Southwark Gateway Needle\, south east side of bridge\, at 10.20. Easy\, 10 mile\, 2.5 hour\, flat ride that goes across London Bridge\, along Embankment (Cycleway 3) and passes Houses of Parliament\, St James Park and Buckingham Palace.  Return starts across Westminster Bridge then keeps to the south side of the river\, along Lower Marsh\, then mostly Cycleway14 – Union Street\, Leathermarket St\, Tanner St\, Dockhead\, ending with Thames path route back to CW. Although we are on some busy roads\, most have a cycle lane or bus lane. Coffee stop at Dockhead. SUMMARY:Christmas Lights Healthy Ride
DESCRIPTION:Christmas Lights Healthy Ride\nNB Please register on Eventbrite\, link:  https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/christmas-lights-cycle-ride-tickets-777846759597 \n3.00 pm start. London Bridge\, south side\, next to Southwark Gateway Needle\, Bruce leading\, Werner assisting. Back at 6pm\, possibly a bit earlier. Ride will be in 3 sections. A steady ride out via C14 and Waterloo Bridge. Then a complex circuit of the West End including the obvious suspects – Oxford\, Regents and Bond Streets – plus a few less well-known.  The central streets will be VERY CROWDED with pedestrians\, so extra care needed. There may also be a lot of motor traffic on the main roads. Maintaining cohesion in the group may at times be difficult.  As well as bike lights\, please also decorate your bike. A festive light on the helmet is a great way to remain visible in a crowd. Make sure your phone is charged up and you must give a phone number on registration. Someone is bound to be lost at some point! Father Christmas suits are allowed. SUMMARY:Wren Churches in the City Healthy Ride
DESCRIPTION:For several years now Werner has led a ride in the City on 26th December\, a day when normally busy City streets have very little motor traffic. This year he will try to visit as many of the Christopher Wren churches as possible\, maybe 20 of them. What a busy boy that Christpher Wren must have been in the years following the Great Fire!  This will be our final “Wren” ride in the 300th anniversary year of his death. Great way to burn off some of the Christmas pud and work up an appetite for Boxing Day lunch.  Everyone welcome.

Burn off a few of the excess calories consumed over the holidays. Meet Peckham Square (next to Peckham Library and Peckham Pulse leisure Centre\, SE15 5RY)\, 10 am. Finish back there at 12 noon. Burgess Park\, Myatts Fields\, Ruskin Park\, Dulwich Park\, possible stop off at Velodrome\, Peckham Rye Park. No signing up. Just turn up if you feel like it. Forecast a bit iffy but who cares? Just dress for the weather.
