SUMMARY:Lord Mayor’s Show Healthy Ride
DESCRIPTION:Lord Mayor’s Show Healthy Ride\nNOTE. You must register on Eventbrite so we can limit numbers\, link: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/southwark-healthy-ride-to-the-lord-mayors-show-tickets-2004404869923?aff=oddtdtcreator \nStart 10am at London Bridge (south side next to the Needle). Cross London Bridge\, then negotiate with police and other security staff. Route clearly very uncertain. Can opt to stay and watch more of the parade or return with a guided group aiming to get back to London Bridge 12-12.30.  For a good idea of how this ride goes\, check Werner’s report from 2023\, on the web at https://southwarkcyclists.org.uk/healthy-rides/healthy-ride-reports-2023/ridereports-nov-11th-2023/. \nThis year the Lord Mayor is processing by boat from Westminster to HMS President pier just downstream from Tower Bridge arriving at 9.30 (notice-nine-elms-reach-to-upper-pool-lord-mayors-show-flotilla-m92-26.pdf ).  Riders may like to set off a bit early and go to Butlers Wharf on the south bank opposite HMS President where there should be a good view. Then make the 5 minute ride along Tooley St to London Bridge for the start of the ride.  \nRiders of all ages are welcome on Healthy Rides but under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.  Same for “adults at risk”. Always give way to pedestrians and to other cyclists so all path users feel safe. If you cannot make a ride\, please cancel so that someone else can take the place. This ride is part of a regular programme of Saturday rides\, more information at https://southwarkcyclists.org.uk/healthy-rides/.
