Start: 10h00 at Stomping Grounds Café\, Burgess PArk. Back by 12h30. Outward via Camberwell Grove\, Greendale\, Herne Hill Velodrome\, Dulwich Park and Dawson’s Heights. Refreshment stop at Horniman Museum. Return via Camberwell Old Cemetery\, Aquarius golf course and Peckham Rye Park. About 10 miles with a few small hills. Mostly quiet streets and paths with just a few stretches of busier road. DESCRIPTION:Thames Loop Healthy Ride\nPlease register for rides on Eventbrite so we can limit numbers\, link:   https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/thames-loop-cycle-ride-from-canada-water-tickets-1127942740099 \nAlways something new to see on this favourite short anti-clockwise loop that follows the Thames on both banks. This easy 11 mile ride uses DLR to cross river at Greenwich (travel pass or equivalent needed) and returns over London Bridge. Meet up 10am in Deal Porter Square\, opposite Canada Water Station and next to Canada Water Library. Route includes Russia Woodland\, Deptford Historic Waterfront\, Mudchute DLR\, Shadwell Basin and canal-side paths to St Katherines. Coffee stop on return leg. No hills\, mostly off road\, cycle lanes or quiet streets. Simon K. leading. It will be possible to join the ride at Greenwich Station. SUMMARY:Winter Warmer Ride - Dulwich to Crystal Palace
DESCRIPTION:Winter Warmer Ride – Dulwich to Crystal Palace\nNOTE. Start 10am\, finish around 12.30 (allowing time for a coffee break).  Route starts across to Peckham Rye Park then over the hill at Nunhead and down to the Waterlink Way at Ladywell Fields. Follow the off-road Waterlink Way (Nat Route 21) for nearly 2 miles to Lower Sydenham. Continue on quiet streets to Cator Park followed by a loop through Penge to Crystal Palace Park.  Check out the dinosaurs\, then up the hill to Crystal Palace Parade.  Steep in places\, but plenty of time to walk stretches if necessary (you will not be the only one doing this!).  Finish with a delightful run downhill back to Dulwich Park.  Route map https://goo.gl/rfUzwn \nRiders of all ages are welcome on Healthy Rides but under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.  Same for “adults at risk”. Always give way to pedestrians and to other cyclists so all path users feel safe. Hoping for better weather on 18th. \nHall Place started as a Tudor mansion and was then extended in the 17th century. There is lots of history\, fine gardens and a modern Riverside Café (info at https://www.hallplace.org.uk/). Start 10am\, Cutty Sark\, near the foot tunnel entrance. To begin the ride\, we go up Greenwich hill then across Blackheath. Then to Eltham Park South\, then on to Danson Park on the left and Blackfen on the right. From there to Hall Place. This ride is mostly cycle path and quiet roads. After our coffee break will return by the route we came. SUMMARY:Canada Water to Haggerston and back Healthy Ride
DESCRIPTION:Canada Water to Haggerston and back\nNOTE. For the outward leg will take the Windrush Line (Overground) to Haggerston. Both stations are step free access. Be sure to bring contactless card (£2.80 fare) or equivalent.  The ride back is full of interest including London Fields\, short stretches of Regents Canal towpath\, Victoria Park\, Mile End Park\, Limehouse Basin and St Katherines Dock. Finish over Tower Bridge and back to Canada Water via Cycleway 14. Usual easy-paced ride on lots of off road paths and some quiet streets.  Back by 12.30. Hopefully time for a coffee stop somewhere.
