Note early 9.30 start time. \nMission To cycle from Waterloo Station to Richmond Park\, Richmond Bridge\, Marble Hill\, Eel Pie Island and Twickenham Station from where we will catch a train back to Waterloo Station. \nCoordinating Instructions and Timings.  Riders will meet at 9.30am on Saturday 29th June 2024 outside and under the Waterloo Station Victory Arch that is 50 yards up on the right from where York Road meets Mepham Street and Cab Road. A short safety brief will be given at the meeting RV point before departing. We envisage being back at Waterloo by approximately 3pm trains permitting. \nRoute This is a relaxed and social ride that involves some very enjoyable cycling in stages for about 20 miles. Much of our route is on quiet\, vehicle-free roads with some use of riverside paths. \nChecks and Equipment Riders are advised to pre-check their bikes before the ride. ABC bike safety checks. Air/Brakes/Chain/Drive. Also check for play in wheels. Riders are further advised to bring: – a warm fleece\, waterproofs\, puncture canister\, bike lock\, bike pump and water bottle. \nRations and Water There will be a coffee stop and we will lunch at Pembroke Lodge Café in Richmond Park. We will have 2 coffee stops\, and will stop at the other bakeries to allow riders to buy goods to take home. Whilst the ride is only about 10 miles long and mainly flat\, due to the potential for many stops it might take ca 2.5 hours. Starts at London Bridge (Southwark Gateway Needle\, South side\, near London Bridge Station) at 10 am. Finish there (hopefully) by 12.30.  Route at Baklava\, Bagels\, Barfi\, Brot\, Baguette and Le Magnifique! | ride | Komoot \nIn order to be able to manage the stops and resulting delays\, the number of riders will have to be limited.
