Please register on Eventbrite so we can limit numbers\, link: < https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/here-be-dragons-ride-tickets-845317406117 \nStart 10am\, Southwark Gateway Needle.  Ride leader Jane says “It’s the year of the dragon so let’s do a tour of the 14 Dragons marking the City of London Boundary (or as many as we can find). Approximately 10km\, usual easy-going pace\, mostly flat\, stopping for photos if necessary – coffee stop if we can find somewhere open!”. Suitable for all types of cyclists and bikes. DESCRIPTION:Cycleway 4 Celebration Ride\nThe missing link on C4 at the Surrey Quays 1-way system is being finished this week. Completes a fully protected cycleway from Greenwich to Tower Bridge. Faster\, safer journays every day for thousands of cyclists. Come amd celebrate on a joyous ride on Sunday 10th March. Departing Cutty Sark at 12 noon and ending in Southwark Park. Arrive from 11am and get your bike checked by Dr Bike. Jointly organisnsed by Southwark\, Lewisham and Greenwich Cyclists please join us\, bring family and friends\, this should be a highlight of the year for cyclists in South London. DESCRIPTION:Annual Pre-Boat Race Ride \nNOTE. Please read carefully. \nCoordinating Instructions and Timings\nRiders will meet at 10.00am on Saturday 23rd March at the bottom of the steps outside and under the Waterloo Station Victory Arch that is 50 yards up on the right from where York Road meets Mepham Street and Cab Road just before the road bridge.\nA short safety briefing will be given at 10.00am.\nThe ride should arrive back at Waterloo Station before 4pm. \nMission\nTo cycle the iconic 4.25 mile course of the 169th Oxford & Cambridge Boat Race up the Middlesex bank of the Thames from the Race start point at Putney embankment to the finish at Chiswick Bridge by Mortlake.\nThe race first started in 1845 and is always held on a flood tide with the crews rowing with the current. This years televised Boat race itself takes place on the following Saturday\,30th March with the Women’s Race starting at 2.46pm followed by the Men’s Race starting at 3.46pm. \nRoute\nThis is a circular route that involves some great river views and enjoyable cycling in stages for about 20 miles in all.
