DESCRIPTION:Free and everyone welcome. It’s not a course\, it’s a drop-in.. What gets taught depends on what problems you bring in. The guys that do it are well known greats from our summer-time Dr Bikes at Peckham Arch and on Quietway 1. \nThese evening bike-fixing sessions are a joint venture between Southwark Cyclists and Lettsom Tenants & Residents Association and are held in the TRA hall. That’s not a super-easy thing to find so a useful picture of the hall is above. Vestry Road\, up the hill passed the shops and down an alley on your left is the best verbal description I’ve been given. See below for full address. The whole shebang is free\, cheerful and open to anyone. No ID checks. You need to bring a bike to get full benefit. They have been here before but some people can’t seem to grasp that public roads are not their private race track or that what’s shown in the car adverts is not real life. DESCRIPTION:At our not-so-new venue at 41 Grosvenor Park SE5 0NH (see picture above). It’s much more respectable than it looks. Coming from Burgess Park\, cross Camberwell New Road and proceed in an westerly direction along Urlwin Street\, under the railway bridges\, left at the end and straight on into the cul-de-sac in front of you. Very respectable. Look carefully\, no 41 is slightly less respectable and belongs to the tenants association. That’s the place. No bike parking. Try the railings. \n \nThe alternative approach is via Addington Square\, across to Bethwin Street\, right into Grosvenor Terrace\, immediately right into Grosvenor Park \n Look for the cul-de-sac on your right at the end. \nWe still haven’t found a pub. Bring pub radar.  If you get lost shout loudly and someone will walk out and wave their arms around.

DESCRIPTION:The usual wonderful set of guys fixing bikes and dispensing wise advice — mostly about the need to clean your chain. The effect of nagging is such that after five years of hearing them say this I have started doing it every now and again. \nThey are cheerful\, helpful\, knowledgeable and have lots of tools. They will be under or near Peckham Arch which is the big arch-shaped object at the south end of Surrey Canal Path or the north end of Rye Lane (see pic). \nDrop by and get them working for you. SUMMARY:Cutty Sark to Cody Dock - Healthy Ride +
DESCRIPTION:One of our faviourate places\, Cody Dock is tucked away off the River Lea not far from Canning Town. It is a community-led project to redevelop the old dock and open up parts of the Lower Lea.  Nice Cafe\, marvellous flowers\, a Damian Hurst and more.  We last visited in March when the weather was atrocious and we only did a ride through.  This time Amanda guarantees lovely weather so we can all fully enjoy this magical spot. Probable route will be east along the Thames Path past the O2 and the Flood Barrier\, then across the river on the Woolwich Ferry and round the Royal Docks dodging the planes taking off from City Airport. Up to the Greenway\, west to Stratford and on to the River Lea towpath. From Cody\, grotty bit past Canning Town\, then Canary Wharf\, the Isle of Dogs and the Greewich Foot tunnel.  Fabulous route.  Loads of it traffic free.  And pretty much flat. \nProbable route map: Cody_20jan18PART_1516380786867_IMG_9890
