SUMMARY:Monthly Meeting
DESCRIPTION:At our not-so-new venue at 41 Grosvenor Park SE5 0NH (see picture below). It’s much more respectable than it looks. Coming from Burgess Park\, cross Camberwell New Road and proceed in an westerly direction along Urlwin Street\, under the railway bridges\, left at the end and straight on into the cul-de-sac in front of you. Very respectable. Look carefully\, no 41 is slightly less respectable and belongs to the tenants association. That’s the place. No bike parking. Try the railings. \n \nThe alternative approach is via Addington Square\, across to Bethwin Street\, right into Grosvenor Terrace\, immediately right into Grosvenor Park \n Look for the cul-de-sac on your right at the end. \nLast time I said that\, sadly\, there was no pub in the area. There is some dispute about this but I have to say I haven’t noticed anything. Bring pub radar.  If you get lost phone 07842 640 207 and I will walk out and wave my arms around.

SUMMARY:Bike Train via QW1
DESCRIPTION:This is a map of Quietway 1. It comes within half a mile of Peckham High Street but is completely unsigned until you’re on it. The best approach is via Surrey Canal Path and Glengall Road — and that’s the way the Bike Train goes. \nWe start from outside Nunhead station at 7.45am and pick up riders at Peckham Rye Station (by the bike stands behind McDonalds) ten minutes later. We arrive at the river around 8.30am depending on which bridge or bridges get the nod. \n\nFurther progress depends on where you want to go. Please text ahead to say you are coming and where you want to go to. I’m on 07842 640 207. The branch line from Denmark Hill will not run unless booked ahead. Return rides arranged on request. \n\n\nSouthwark Cyclists is the borough branch of the London Cycling Campaign which campaigns for more\, better cycling in London. Most of us are members but you don’t have to be. Most of us live in Southwark but some of us don’t and you don’t have to. And everything we do is free\n\n\n\n
