Easy-paced ride on mainly quiet roads and paths. Route: Greenwich Foot Tunnel, past Millwall Dock, East Ferry Rd, Royal Docks (watch the planes at City Airport), Beckton Park, Woolwich Foot Tunnel or Ferry, Thames path to Tor (aka Gallions Hill). Return along Thames path to Woolwich, likely refreshment stop at Cornerstone Café, continue Thames path to Ecology Park, then cut across the North Greenwich peninsula, over the Blackwall foot bridge, back on to the Thames path and to Cutty Sark. 16-17 miles, no hills (except the Tor). Suitable for all standards of cyclist – everyone welcome. Under 16, please be accompanied by responsible adult. Anyone wishing to be led from Canada Water Library, meet there 9am sharp.
