Southwark Cyclists’ volunteer Werner will be holding the speedgun with PCSO Kevin Phillips writing down the numbers of miscreants. TfL fund this bit of the war on the motorist and it’s remarkable fun. Kevin picks the locations. He likes to have a long view of the road so that the motorist who is not paying attention (no, no, I can’t believe it) takes a few moments to see the speedgun pointing at them and jump on the brakes. Considering that Kevin in is full uniform and the volunteer has to wear hi-vis, a fair number must be phoning their mothers and checking the satnav.
