DESCRIPTION:Run by Bruno on behalf of Southwark Cyclists in Camberwell Leisure Centre which has south-east London’s most memorable address\, Artichoke Place SE5 8TS (see pic). The leisure centre is friendly\, cheerful\, accessible and welcoming. Bruno and the boys are the same. Everyone is welcome and no one pays. \nThis is a drop-in not a course. You turn up with a problem and the guys fix it while showing you carefully what to do and helping you do it. What gets taught depends on what problems turn up. \nSouthwark Cyclists are the borough branch of the London Cycling Campaign who campaign for safer cycling throughout London. SUMMARY:Cancelled: Free bike maintenance with hands-on tuition
DESCRIPTION:This event has been cancelled. \nThis is a drop-in not a course so what gets taught is pretty random. You bring the problems and the guys teach you how to fix them. This is the place to bring the bike covered in spiders which you found in your Mam’s shed. They also do less long term stuff like “How do I pump up these tyres?” (a question which puzzled me for a long time) and “Why does my chain keep coming off?” (it’s stretched and you need a new one and possibly a new set of cogs and sprockets) \nIt all takes place in the warm inside Camberwell Leisure Centre in Artichoke Place SE5 8TS. The leisure centre is very friendly with nice staff and a cafe. Bliss. \nThe sessions are run by Bruno on behalf of Southwark Cyclists. DESCRIPTION:Just what it says really. We have a great mechanic at this Bring ‘n Fix it session at the Walworth Living Room (see pic). Bring a bike (any condition) and they will help you get it into better shape. There are guys fixing lots of other things too so you can bring those along as well. Despite the attractive-looking playground in the pic\, this session is highly likely to be indoors.
