DESCRIPTION:A Southwark Cyclist (me) will be holding the speed gun in Kingswood Road and shouting out the  numbers. Anything 25 and over gets the driver a rude letter from TfL and the prospect of a demand for money if they carry on. DESCRIPTION:Road peace campaigner Amy will be holding the speedgun and doing her bit to discourage dangerous driving. CSW is a TfL-funded\, police-led\, collaboration between the police and the community. The volunteer holds the speedgun and shouts out the numbers and organiser PCSO Kevin Phillips takes down the details and arranges the rude letters that go out to drivers from TfL. DESCRIPTION:CSW is a co-operative venture\, funded by TfL and led by the police\, to remind drivers that speed limits apply to them too.  Cyclists have good reason to care about speeding on the road and so\, step forward\, Southwark Cyclists volunteers. We will be holding the speed gun on Dog Kennel Hill in East Dulwich under the protection of PCSO Kevin Phillips. It’s Kevin who fields the (generally contrite) van drivers who worry that a fine is coming their way. A depressingly large proportion start by asking what the speed limit is (it’s always 20). Kevin passes the culprits on to TfL who send them rude letters\, pointing out that if they continue in their errant ways they will be added to a police database of naughty drivers and attract the attention of traffic police.
