Experienced, trained ride leaders escort the Bike Train to Blackfriars Bridge via two parks, a traffic-calmed backstreet, the Elephant and Castle Bypass and the new segregated cycle lanes. There is never less than 10 foot of pavement or 3 foot of raised concrete between you and the nearest bus or HGV.
Comments so far include: “a fabulous ride” and “a revelation”. The Bike Train starts at Nunhead Station at 8am, takes on more riders at Peckham Rye Station (from the bike stands behind McDonalds) and arrives at Blackfriars at 8.45am. A branch line from Denmark Hill is planned.
