SUMMARY:Thames Loop from Canada Water - Healthy Ride
DESCRIPTION:Thames Loop from Canada Water   \nIMPORTANT. Please register for the ride on Eventbrite so we can limit numbers\, link:  https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/thames-loop-cycle-ride-from-canada-water-tickets-1994572836045?aff=oddtdtcreator \nAlways something new to see on this favourite short anti-clockwise loop that follows the Thames on both banks. An easy 11 mile ride we use DLR to cross river at Greenwich (travel pass or equivalent needed) and return over London Bridge. Meet up 10am in Deal Porter Square\, opposite Canada Water Station and next to Canada Water Library. Route includes Russia Woodland\, Deptford Historic Waterfront\, Shadwell Basin and canal-side paths to St Katherines Dock. Coffee stop on return leg. No hills\, mostly off road\, cycle lanes or quiet streets. Simon K. leading. It will be possible to join the ride at Greenwich Station. Meet 10.25am outside the front of the station on Greenwich High Rd\, near the Novotel (not by the DLR entrance). Please indicate on the registration form that you will be joining at Greenwich. DESCRIPTION:Awayday Cycle Ride from Whitstable to Ramsgate    \nIMPORTANT. Please register for rides on Eventbrite so we can limit numbers\, link:  https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/awayday-cycle-ride-from-whitstable-to-ramsgate-tickets-1992993066913?aff=oddtdtcreator \nMission \nTo cycle the iconic Viking Coast in stages via Whitstable\, Swale Cliffe\, Herne Bay\, Reculver Towers\, Minnis Bay\, Birchington\, Westgate on Sea\, Broadstairs\, Botany Bay Beach to reach Ramsgate covering a total distance of about 32 miles in all. This pleasant ride is suitable for fit and experienced riders. \nCoordinating Instructions and Timings\nThe Ride will depart from Whitstable Station at 10.00am sharp on Saturday 25th July and is expected to finish at Ramsgate Station by approx. 5.30pm.\nPlease note that the finish time cannot be guaranteed in the event of unforeseen issues on the day. This is not a suitable ride for riders with tight agendas that evening. \nTransport\nRiders are advised to book their outward rail ticket to Whitstable and return from Ramsgate as soon as possible. \nRations and Water\nWe will stop for 1.5hrs for lunch at the Minnis Bay Bar Brasserie. Riders are also welcome to bring their own picnics. Minnis Bay and Broadstairs are good for swimming. Minnis Bay Low Tide at 16.13 or Broadstairs Low tide at 16.18\nTime permitting\, we will also stop for a cup of tea at Broadstairs. \nABC bike checks\nRiders are urged to conduct a basic ABC pre-check before the event.
