About this scheme
Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity (GSTTC) are funding this Low Traffic Neighbourhood (LTN) to reduce driving and increase active travel in the area in order to help deliver improved physical and mental health for those greatest in need. Brunswick Park is one of three projects focused around schools in order to target child obesity and poor air quality.
We think this is a great scheme that will reduce traffic in the area making it safer to walk and cycle, particularly for children. It consists of four modal filters (which allow people cycling and on foot to pass, but not motor traffic), improvements to an informal crossing, as well as cycle improvements on Wells Way and a cycle crossing from Lidgate Street to Dalwood Street.
This will also greatly reduce traffic along Cycleway 17 which has been improved in Champion Hill and Dulwich Village, which makes it accessible for more people.
