By Air and Under Ground – a Non-typical Healthy Ride

Ride report. Healthy Ride + – 19th Nov 2016
Fourteen riders set out from the Cutty Sark on a sunny, but very cold, day. Rode across the North Greenwich peninsula to the O2 and boarded the Emirates “Airline”, the cable car across the Thames. Remarkably easy to take bikes on board, 2 or 3 per pod. Visibility was excellent, so were able to enjoy great views along the river, of the docks and back towards central London. From the north bank headed to the Greenway (eventually…) and thence to the Olympic Park. Warmed up in the Podium Café near the Orbit. Then back down the Lee towpath, along the Limehouse Cut and the west side of the Isle of Dogs to the Greenwich Foot Tunnel. Lifts working well and large enough to get all the bikes in in one go. Enjoyable ride led by Philippa. We must go flying again!
